Food for weight loss

Best food for weight loss

A lot of the times hear about the weight loss regimes you will notice it is mostly about workouts and less about the choice of food. Truth is you can simply shed off extra weight by just choosing the right combination of foods for your meals! Of course this should go along with workouts for your general body health; but even without or little workouts you can achieve weight loss just with the right foods. So what are the best foods for weight loss? Below is their simple breakdown.

Beans
Being an essential protein beans contain most essential amino acid, more than even beef and fish. By taking beans, you can significantly lose weight with ease. This is because beans are rich in fibre and low in fats. Beans will also prevent you from adding weight simply because it makes you feel full for long periods of time thereby preventing you from eating more. The reason why beans tend to stay longer in the stomach is because beans are rich in proteins and the process of digesting proteins takes more time than it takes carbohydrates.

Soup
Research has proved that starting off your meals with a cup of soup prevents you from overfeeding. The soup however needs to be broth based and have little content of carbohydrates, cream or fats in technical terms the soup should not exceed 100 calories. If you don’t have soup, you can drink some little water before you start your meals. Water has the benefit of not having any calories and it also aids digestion.

Dark chocolate
If you are a chocolate lover, you should consider taking dark chocolate instead of milky chocolate. Dark chocolate has the effect of making you take less pizza as opposed to milk chocolate that had the effect of making you increase pizza intake.

Pureed vegetables
Increasing the proportion of pureed vegetable into your diet to more than 40% has been found to have a significant effect on reduction of body weight. This is because they are rich in fibres and vitamins. The net effect is that your body will take in less carbohydrate and fats making you lose weight.

Apples
When taken before meals, apples are very effective in preventing weight gain. Apples have few calories and for that reason, when taken before meals, they reduce the amount of calories taken into the body. Moreover, apples contain antioxidants which prevent metabolic syndrome which is a condition characterised by excessive fat in the waistline and around the stomach.

Goji berries
Goji berries contain 18 amino acids, much more than what other fruits have. With this high concentration of proteins, these fruits tend to take longer time to digest compared to other fruits or foods rich in carbohydrates. This effectively reduces the chances of feeding more and consequently reducing body weight. You should however not take too much of them, a quarter cup of dried goji berries mixed with trail nuts and hot water is enough.

After taking these foods and still feel that you are probably not losing weight as fast as you expect, you should consider consulting your medical insurer. One of the most popular insurers is the European health card which before January 2006 used to offer the e111card for its customers.
