Festive Collections @ UK Rasoi # An event announcement

Festivals hold a very important place in our lives. These are events which are celebrated collectively for a cause, which could be anything from a sports event to a religious cause.  They are mostly celebrated to propagate the cultural heritage of nations. Owing to the fact that world has become a global village, celebrations of all kinds of festivals in a country improves the overall image of the society and shows the acceptance of cultural diversity in the country. They help keeping alive the older traditions and provide entertainment to the people celebrating events in different parts of the world. All the festivals that we celebrate have some profound meaning in it and have some pragmatic purpose.

Whatever be the festival, food always plays an important part of it, in every Country or society. There always are some dishes associated with a specific occasion  Like turkey with Thanks giving, laddoo with Diwali and gujhiya with Holi. To celebrate this association of food with the festivals, I have started with this event – Festive collection.

I will be honest, the whole and soul purpose of starting this event is to have a grand collection of all the recipes around the world which are being prepared  specifically to celebrate some festival. And hence this will be a series of events running all year round, re-opening with every new year so that I could get as many recipes from fellow bloggers around the world at the same page. Rules will be announced along with every announcement and I shall update this post with the round-ups each time. I have created a sweet logo for the same, which I so hope you would like :)

I shall keep this post only for the announcement and then will  start with the actual event on 15th September for  the first festival – Navratri and Duessehra . Stay tuned you folks and spread the love with UK Rasoi's festive spirits.
