I am not really a tea person. Not that I don’t like drinking tea, rather would love to have a cuppa with these temperature getting lower every day, but its just I cant have tea alone. Finicky as it may sound, I have to have something savoury with my tea. That’s why I choose to have it on Sunday breakfast, when we have our stuffed Parathas.. Steaming tea makes a satisfying combo specially with those Paneer Paranthas
After coming here to the UK, I really couldn’t understand how these English drink tea with so less milk and negligible Sugar. My tea has to be in half to half proportion of water and milk and should be boiled for like 8-10 minutes. I know, not many of you, specially people living abroad might like this kind of “Indianised” version of tea anymore. And I admit, its off course not healthier .. But its tastier :D And same goes for my love for Coffee as well.. I like it dense, thick and sweet.. No Compro on the taste please !!!
One of my English friend always says that Indians version of having a “tea or coffee” is a meal in itself. We serve “namkeen”, biscuits, homemade snacks, readymade snacks and more stuff like this along with our teas.. And now with the Western delicacies gettimg common in every household, we have welcomed Tea cakes, Quick breads, Muffins, Tarts, Biscotti etc in our Tea sessions.
To celebrate this love with the tea and Coffee, basically a Cuppa… I have started with this Series Event.. Whats with your Cuppa ??
Basically you have to link in any dish that serves as a combination with tea or Coffee.. It can be of any cuisine, sweet or savory… your choice.. Here is a list of items you can link
