Blogging is an addiction.. S said it right the very first day I started with my blog. It indeed is !! And the more you swim in this world, the more you crave for it... You crave more for trying new things, sharing them and when you make friends who encourage you, appreciate your work and keep you motivated for trying harder, that's when you think you have achieved something. Receiving awards is cherry on top :)
Love you all for this love and appreciation my readers and friends.. I am overwhelmed and excited even more from now onward and will try to work harder to get my posts more informative with variety of recipes... Applause :P .. Speech over . May God bless you all ..

And now the recipe.. Simple Kachaalu .. Dont get confused with the name , its simply Potato Raita which is known as kachalu in some place of UP and Bihar. Its a healthy side that goes very well with a dry vegetable or even the gravy dishes. Me and my husband both loves it and I usually prepare it during weekends when I have to finish off the leftover potatoes along with some dry dish. S likes it that way :)
Ingredients;
1. 2 medium potatoes, boiled.
2. 1 cup yoghurt , beaten
3. 1/2 cup water
4. 1 tsp black pepper, cumin powder each
5. 1 medium tomato, chopped ( optional )
6. Salt according to taste
7. 2 red dried chilies
Method:
1. Blend curd with water and salt and beat well.
2. Peel the boiled potato and just break them with hands, or you can simply chop them small.
3. Mix potato and chopped tomato pieces with curd and stir.
4. Heat a pan, dry roast cumin powder and dried red chilies. Dont over burn it.
5. Pour this roasted spice mix to the curd and sprinkle black pepper on top. Serve cold.
Notes:
1. It will require a little more salt than normal to get the desired taste.
Please forgive me for the bad pics :(
