This is my first attempt to Blogging, and am so excited. I have been reading the food blogs for a long time now and was very keen to start. This recipe serves a perfect purpose for Health and taste. Hope you will like it. :)
This recipe uses
1) Til which is good for the skin and hair.
2) Oatmeal helps in reduction of cholesterol, controls sugar levels of diabetes. regulates blood pressure & is packed with proteins, vitamins and minerals.
These bars can be eaten either as dessert for lunch/dinner or as an ideal nutritious in-between snack.

Ingredients
2 cups grate jaggery
1 cup puffed rice
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup peanuts
1/2 cup quick rolled oats
1 tsp cardemom powder
Ghee for greasing thali
1/2 cup Dried fruits as Strawberries, Apricots, Cashew, Raisins, Walnuts etc.
Method
- Heat the til on a dry tava to light brown colour and keep aside.
- Dry roast the oatmeal for a minute and keep aside
- Make the syrup by heating the jaggery and little water .Add a little ghee also so that the jaggery does not stick to the bottom. stir the mix continuously on medium flame. ( you can also do the same in Microwave for 1-2 min on high )
- Mix all the above mentioned ingredients in the jaggery syrup and stir till well mixed.
- Pour in the greased thali and spread evenly.cut squares when it is slightly cooled. Njoy !!!
